Topic: How to Take Control of Your Career

Speakers: Eric Bartel with Financial Coaching & Clark Conine with Energy Search Associates


This month's luncheon will cover options for your retirement plan when you leave your employer as well as interview & resume tips.



Eric Bartel is an owner at Financial Coaching, an independent financial planning firm based in Arlington, TX. Eric has 10 years of experience serving as a financial advisor to individuals, families and small business owners.  Prior to starting his career in financial planning, Eric worked for a NFL sports agent, in the scouting department for the Houston Texans, and as a salary cap assistant for the New York Jets. Eric earned his Master’s degree in sports business & finance from New York University, and a Bachelor’s degree in finance & risk management from the University of Louisiana, where he also played football for the Ragin' Cajuns. Upon receiving his Bachelor’s degree in May 2004, Eric was recognized as an Academic All-American and named the university’s Most Outstanding Graduate.


Clark Conine was born in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and graduated from Texas Tech with a Business degree in 1993. After graduating from Tech, Clark went on to manage the Dallas and Fort Worth branches for a Staffing firm that specialized in the Healthcare arena until he started the parent company for Energy Search Associates in 1998. The company began focusing specifically on placing Upstream Oil and Gas Professionals in 2003.

Clark enjoys hunting, golf, tennis and spending time with his wife, daughter and son. He enjoys a farm in Southeast Oklahoma where he loves to spend time farming, hunting, relaxing and fishing. Clark is an active member of his church where he regularly contributes his time to House on the Corner (the church's version of Habitat for Humanity). Clark and his family also are involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters, United Special Sportsman's Alliance, Soldier's Angels and the Frisco Food Pantry.

DFW-ALTA will invoice for late cancellations.  Substitutions are encouraged.


Registration fees are $25 for DFW-ALTA members and $40 for non-members.
